United Elegant FC Crowned Champions in Khyber Cement KSL

SRINAGAR: Arco United FC registered a narrow 1–0 victory over United Elegant FC in the 15th and final league-stage match of the Khyber Cement Kashmir Super League, held at the Synthetic Turf TRC Ground on Friday. Despite the defeat, United Elegant FC emerged as the official league champions, having secured top position with a consistent and dominant performance  throughout the tournament.

The match was a thrilling display of footballing skill and strategy, with Sahil Khurshid’s decisive strike making the difference for Arco United FC. The encounter, marked by pace and passion, drew an enthusiastic crowd and lived up to its billing as the league’s climactic showdown.

The post-match ceremony saw awards being presented to standout performers of the day. Nadeem Ali received the Khyber Cement Game Changer Award, while Sahil Khurshid was adjudged Khyber Cement Player of the Match. The Athwas Golden Moment Award went to Shoaib Haneef, and the Events Emporio X Factor Excellence Award was given to Tajamul Islam.

The felicitation event was graced by several notable dignitaries, including Ms Nuzhat Gul, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, and Members of Legislative Assembly Qaisar Jamshed (Lolab), Showkat Hussain Ganai (Zainapora), Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo (Chanapora), alongside international footballer Mohammad Yousuf Dar, Kaiser Bhat of Downtown Heroes FC, and Javaid Ahmad representing Khyber Cement.
