University Of Kashmir Opens Application For Project Associate Post In ANRF Funded Biotech Project

The Department of Biotechnology, University of Kashmir has released an advertisement for the engagement of one Project Associate-I under an ANRF-funded project titled “Targeting unfolded protein response transducers in hepatic fibrogenesis”. This position is offered under the PM-ECRG Scheme.

As per the official notice dated 18 July 2025 (Ref No: ANRF/PM-ECRG/KU/BT/001), the appointment will be purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The duration of the assignment is initially for one year and may be extended depending on performance and availability of funds. The monthly remuneration for the selected candidate will be ₹37,000 plus 20% HRA, subject to NET or GATE qualification.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or a Master’s Degree in the same fields. Candidates with BVSc, B. Pharm, Engineering, Technology, or Medicine degrees from a recognized university are also eligible.

Desirable:
A postgraduate degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Clinical Biochemistry, or Microbiology with hands-on experience in tissue culture and genome editing is preferred.

Other Requirements:
The stated monthly emolument is applicable only to those candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE.
