Rajouri, Jul 21: The inhabitants of Darhal in Rajouri district are up in arms against the poor drainage system on the under-construction Darhal to Darra Sagrawat road.

Locals have expressed their frustration, stating that rainwater is entering their agricultural fields and other areas, causing widespread damage.

The situation has taken a toll on the local farmers, with several acres of maize fields already eroded due to the flowing water, said locals. The lack of proper drainage infrastructure has led to significant losses for the farmers, who are now demanding immediate attention to the issue.

“We urge authorities to take prompt action to address the problem and construct a proper drainage system to prevent further damage to their crops and properties.” locals said. The issue has further raised concerns about the quality of infrastructure development in the area and the need for more effective planning and execution.
