ONGC Consultant Posts Announced – 52 Vacancies, Apply By 7 August

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC), Mehsana Asset has released an official notification for the engagement of retired executives as Junior Consultant and Associate Consultant on a contractual basis. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. Consultants/2025/2.

As per the notification dated 17 July 2025, there are 52 total vacancies available across Production, Instrumentation, and Chemistry disciplines. These posts are open only to retired ONGC executives from E1 to E5 levels. The appointment will be for one year initially, extendable based on performance and organizational needs.

Interested candidates can apply either by email or through offline submission. The last date for submitting applications is 7 August 2025. The selection will be based on a written test and interview, both to be conducted on the same day.

Discipline-wise breakup is as follows:
Production: Junior Consultant – 45, Associate Consultant – 1
Instrumentation: Junior Consultant – 4
Chemistry: Junior Consultant – 2

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be retired ONGC executives with at least 10 years of experience in Surface Team Operations. For Junior Consultant posts, the eligible level is E1 to E3, and for Associate Consultant posts, it is E4 to E5. If no eligible E1–E3 executives are available, E4–E5 retirees may be considered as Junior Consultants with a capped salary. Educational qualifications can include ITI, Diploma, or higher degrees in the relevant disciplines. The upper age limit is 64 years.

Selection Process:
The selection will be based on working experience (10 marks), educational qualification (10 marks), and a written test (60 marks). The minimum qualifying score in the written test is 33.33% (27 out of 80), and at least 7 marks are required in the interview. The written test and interview will be held on the same day. There is no negative marking.
