Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu has invited online applications for the positions of Project Officer (Civil) and Project Officer (Electrical) to be engaged on an outsource basis. These posts will be filled through M/s Nimbus Harbor Pvt. Ltd., and the selected candidates will work at IIT Jammu on temporary terms.
As per the advertisement dated 15 July 2025, there are two posts each for Civil and Electrical disciplines. The engagement will initially be for one year and may be extended annually based on performance and requirements. The age limit for both positions is 45 years. Monthly consolidated salary will range from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,00,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Eligibility Criteria:

For Project Officer (Civil), candidates must have a B.Tech in Civil Engineering with at least five years of experience in execution and supervision of civil works or estimating and billing. Alternatively, a Diploma in Civil Engineering with eight years of similar experience is acceptable. Preference will be given to candidates with M.Tech in Structural or Construction Management and experience in quality control, STP, WTP, water supply, repair and maintenance, and tender preparation.
For Project Officer (Electrical), candidates must have a B.Tech in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five years of experience, or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering with at least eight years of experience in electrical execution, supervision, and billing. Desirable qualification includes M.Tech in Power System and experience with Lifts, HVAC, ESS, SCADA, BMS, and other systems.
