The University of Kashmir, Srinagar, has invited applications from eligible candidates for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Post under the DST-funded research project titled “Deep Learning Applications for Automated Post-Harvest Saffron Processing, Grading and Sorting.”
As mentioned in the official advertisement by the Post Graduate Department of Computer Sciences, this position is initially for one year and extendable up to three years based on yearly performance. The selected candidate will work on Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision applications relevant to post-harvest saffron processing.
Candidates with a postgraduate qualification in Computer Science or equivalent and qualified in NET or GATE can apply. Applications must be submitted via email and in hard copy to the PI by 26 July 2025. Monthly emoluments will be paid as per DST norms.

Educational Qualifications
Applicants must have an M.C.A. or M.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent degree. They must be NET or GATE qualified. If suitable candidates with NET/GATE are not available, non-NET/GATE candidates may be considered with fellowship as per the funding agency norms.
Other Requirements
Candidates with strong programming skills in Python, and experience in Computer Vision, Robotics, Embedded Systems, and Deep Learning will be preferred. Prior involvement in AI-based project development is desirable.
