Strong India Key to Global Stability, Prosperity: PM Modi

SRINAGAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that a strong and stable India will play a vital role in contributing to a more stable and prosperous world.

Addressing the Parliament in Ghana, Modi said India, as the world’s largest democracy, stands as a pillar of strength in the global community. He stressed the importance of including voices from the Global South in development discussions, adding, “Progress cannot come without giving voice to the Global South.”

Highlighting India’s rapid economic growth, the Prime Minister said the country is set to become the third-largest economy, built on a foundation of stable governance and political structure.

He noted that the post-World War II global order is undergoing a fast transformation. “Technological advancements, the rise of the Global South, and demographic shifts are reshaping global dynamics,” he said.

Modi also called for credible and effective reforms in international governance structures to reflect current realities.  (KNO)
