Amarnath Yatra 2025 Begins as First Batch Arrives at Baltal

SRINAGAR: The first batch of pilgrims for Amarnathji Yatra 2025 arrived at the Baltal Base Camp on Wednesday, marking the formal start of this year’s pilgrimage.

The District Administration Ganderbal welcomed the pilgrims at the base camp. Deputy Commissioner Jatin Kishore, Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Fahim Bihaqi, SDM Kangan, and officers from the civil and police administration were present during the reception, along with local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Kishore extended his best wishes to the pilgrims and assured full administrative support for a smooth and safe pilgrimage.

Officials said elaborate arrangements have been made for the safety and convenience of the pilgrims, including medical care, sanitation, and round-the-clock security.

Pilgrims expressed appreciation for the reception and the arrangements made by the administration.

The district authorities reiterated their commitment to ensure that all necessary facilities are provided throughout the Yatra. (KNO)
