Srinagar, Jun 30: Sultan Warriors Baramulla delivered a dominating performance in their Kashmir Cup 2025 league match, thrashing JK Warriors by 9 wickets in a one-sided affair at TRC Ground on Monday.
As per a statement, opting to field first after winning the toss, Sultan Warriors’ bowlers put up a disciplined show to bundle out JK Warriors for a modest 94 in 18.3 overs. Despite a fighting knock of 44 off 33 balls from Lala (JK Warriors’ wicketkeeper), the rest of the batting lineup faltered against a tight bowling attack led by Aazim Rather (2/13), Jaddu (2/20), and Sameer Bell (2/20).
JK Warriors never quite recovered from early setbacks, losing wickets at regular intervals. Apart from Lala, only Tawseef (13) and Khalid Bhat (14) managed double figures.
In response, Sultan Warriors made a mockery of the target, chasing down 97 in just 6.2 overs at a blistering run rate of 15.32. The aggressive trio of Asim Bashir (28 off 12), Zeeshan Ali (27* off 11), and Farhad Gani (29* off 15) dismantled the JK Warriors bowling with ease. Tawseef was the only bowler to pick a wicket for JK Warriors.
The win has strengthened Sultan Warriors’ position in the group stages of the Kashmir Cup 2025, while JK Warriors are left looking to regroup after a disappointing all-round show.
