J&K Govt orders transfer, postings of 49 doctors across J&K

Srinagar, June 29: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Health and Medical Education Department has issued transfer and posting orders for 49 doctors across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir, with immediate effect. The directives, issued under two government orders, Government Order No. 428-JK(HME) of 2025 dated June 28, 2025, and Government Order No. 429-JK(HME) of 2025 dated June 28, 2025, have been approved in the “interest of administration and patient care”

According to the Government Order No. 428-JK(HME) of 2025 dated June 28, Dr. Narinder Singh Bhatali, who was awaiting adjustment, has been appointed as In-Charge Deputy Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar. He will also hold the additional charge of Medical Superintendent of the same hospital.

Dr. Balwinder Singh, previously serving as I/C Deputy Medical Superintendent, Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, has been posted as I/C BMO R.S. Pura. Similarly, Dr. Mohd Ajaz, Medical Officer at PHC Budhal, has been transferred to I/C BMO Mahore. Dr. Versha Sharma, formerly I/C BMO Thathri, will now serve as I/C BMO Bhaderwah, while Dr. Rajneesh Kumar will continue in his current role as I/C BMO Pouni.

Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Kuchay has been moved from I/C BMO Bhaderwah to I/C BMO Pouni. Dr. Abdul Qayoom, Medical Officer, DH Samba, has been posted as I/C BMO Parole, and Dr. Vivek Mangotra, earlier I/C BMO Parole, is now I/C BMO Purmandal.

Other significant postings include Dr. Sudesh Tanoch, Medical Officer PHC Hartyan, Udhampur, who is now posted as I/C DHO Udhampur; Dr. Mohd. Azam as I/C DHO Poonch; Dr. Raj Kumar as I/C DHO Poonch; and Dr. Ruby Naz as I/C BMO Poonch. Dr. Monika Kotwal will take charge as I/C DMO Samba.

Meanwhile, Dr. Kewal Kishore Thakur and Dr. Romesh Chander, both MD Anatomy, have been deputed to GMC Doda on standard terms and conditions of deputation. Dr. Shakeel Ahmad Kichloo, Dental Surgeon, has been directed to temporarily look after the charge of BMO Thathri till suitable arrangements are made.

According to the Government Order No. 429-JK(HME) of 2025 dated June 28, Dr. Nighat Yasmeen Sheikh has been posted as I/C Deputy Director Health Services (HQ), Kashmir, while Dr. Saba Wani has been appointed as I/C Deputy Director Health Services, Kashmir.

Dr. Afsana Bano has been posted as I/C Assistant Director (TB), and Dr. Kulsim Hassan Kanjwal as I/C Assistant Director, Directorate of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization. Dr. Mohammad Ramzan Mir has been transferred to the same directorate and will retire on June 30, 2025. Dr. Ab. Gani Raina has been posted as I/C CMO Baramulla, and Dr. Masarat Iqbal as I/C CMO Kupwara. Dr. Hashmat Sultan Shora is now I/C SSO, DHSK, relieving Dr. Samina Gul. Dr. Farah Shafi has been posted as Superintendent Medical Ganderbal, and Dr. Syed Masood as Medical Superintendent DH Kulgam.

Dr. Adil Hussain Kango has been posted as Medical Superintendent, Bone & Joint Hospital, Barzulla, Srinagar, while Dr. Asif Ali Khanday will now serve as Medical Superintendent DH Bandipora. Dr. Abdul Majeed Bhat has been posted as I/C BMO Hazratbal, and Dr. Reyaz Ahmad Rather as I/C BMO Chadoora. Dr. Ashaq Hussain Azad Bhat has been transferred as I/C BMO DH Pora, and Dr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat has been moved to I/C BMO Kalaroos, while Dr. Mohammad Hafiz Khan has been posted as I/C BMO Langate.

Dr. Basra Mir has been appointed I/C STO Kashmir, Dr. Akhteraa as I/C DIO Anantnag, and Dr. Zahoor Ahmad as I/C DIO Shopian. Additionally, Dr. Mir Khursheed has been posted as I/C Principal, GNM School, Pulwama, and Dr. Aftaab Masoodi as I/C Principal, ANMT School, Kulgam.

Dr. Riyaz Ahmad Parray, I/C BMO D.H. Pora, has been assigned as I/C Principal ANMT School, Shopian. Dr. Imtiyaz Darwash, Medical Officer awaiting orders of posting, has been appointed I/C Dy. Medical Superintendent Super Hospital, Srinagar. Dr. Suhaila Sheikh from PHC Sambora, Pulwama, is now I/C Dy. Medical Superintendent Children Hospital, Bemina.

Dr. Khursheed Ahmad Khan, Medical Officer on deputation to the State Health Agency, has been posted as I/C Dy. CMO Pulwama. Dr. Lubna Shafi, Medical Officer awaiting posting, is now I/C Dy. Medical Superintendent Maternity Hospital, Sanatnagar, Srinagar. Dr. Rehana Maqsood from PHC Konibal Pampore has been posted as I/C Dy. Medical Superintendent Government Chest Disease Hospital, Srinagar. Dr. Bisma Khan, Medical Officer awaiting posting, has been deputed to NHM on standard terms and conditions.

Dr. Shahida Habib from PHC Lajora, Pulwama, has been deputed to JKMSCL on standard deputation terms. Dr. Rukhsana Rashid Khan, awaiting posting, has been deputed to the AIDS Control Society, J&K. Dr. Qazi Haroon Rashid, also awaiting orders of posting, has been deputed to JKMSCL. Dr. Mir Mohammad Iqbal from SDH Kupwara has been deputed to NHM on standard terms and conditions
