LG Sinha Meets Civil Society Members Ahead of Amarnath Yatra

SRINAGAR: Ahead of the annual Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to begin on July 3, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday met with prominent members of civil society at SKICC here to review the arrangements in place for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the meeting commenced at around 5:35 PM and was attended by several key figures, including former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Principal Secretary to the LG Mandeep K. Bhandari, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, senior police officers, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir V. K. Bidhuri, among others.

A total of around 77 civil society members participated in the interaction. They represented various sectors including transport, tourism, trade, and social organisations.

According to sources, the meeting aimed to gather feedback and suggestions from stakeholders to ensure the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
