The Superintending Engineer informed that necessary arrangements have been made for the Yatra, scheduled to commence on July 3. These include illumination setups along the Yatra track and key locations at Baltal, Domail, Ranga Morh, Y-Junction, and Baltal-Domail Road. Power supply has also been ensured for Government and security camps, Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) offices, langars, and additional accommodation units.

Officials briefed the MD about the underground electric infrastructure established for restoring grid connectivity from RayilPathri (Km 5.00) to the Holy Cave. The infrastructure includes installation of Distribution Transformers (DTs) and octagonal lighting poles along the route.

Fuel stocks for generators have been secured with regular replenishment protocols. Backup DTs and standby DG sets have been deployed to handle emergencies.

The MD also visited newly created distribution substations and inspected solar-powered street lights, including newly installed 7-metre octagonal poles at the Pony Stand.

He underlined the importance of reliable power supply during the Yatra and reiterated institutional support to ground staff. “KPDCL will ensure that the power supply framework remains resilient and responsive throughout the Yatra,” he said.
