Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-Jammu) has announced vacancies for the contractual post of FPO Development Officer under the JKCIP (Jammu & Kashmir Competitiveness Improvement Project). The recruitment is intended to support Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across different districts of Jammu region.
The appointment will be on a year-to-year basis, initially for one year, and extendable based on performance and programme requirements. The engagement is funded by IFAD and governed under IFAD procurement and ethical guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or a related field. They must also have 3 to 5 years of experience in FPO promotion, agribusiness, or rural development. Preference will be given to those with experience in the districts of Jammu region. Candidates must also possess knowledge of value chain development, financial inclusion, and relevant policy frameworks.
The monthly consolidated remuneration for the post is ₹50,000. The contract will be co-terminus with the project, extendable annually based on performance.

Selection Process:
The selection of candidates will be based on the Individual Consultant Selection (ICS) method under IFAD guidelines. The University may conduct a written test depending on the number of applications received.
