1850 Junior Technician Posts At HVF Avadi Under Ministry Of Defence

Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF), a unit under Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL), Ministry of Defence, has invited online applications for 1850 vacancies of Junior Technician (Contract) posts. These posts are for fixed tenure engagement initially for one year and extendable up to four years based on performance.

As per the official notification (Advt. No. HVF/FTC/RECT/2025/03), candidates with ITI/NAC/NTC qualifications in relevant trades are eligible to apply. The maximum age limit is 35 years as on the closing date of the application. Selected candidates will receive a basic pay of Rs. 21,000 per month along with other allowances. Selection will be based on shortlisting and a qualifying trade test.

The online application window will open on 28 June 2025 and will remain active until 18 July 2025. Applicants must apply online only. The application fee is Rs. 300 for General/OBC/EWS, while SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Female candidates are exempt.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates interested in applying can check the eligibility criteria, age limit, application fee, and other essential details below.

Candidates must have passed NAC/NTC in relevant trades issued by NCVT or SCVT. For some trades, Class X with relevant experience is acceptable. For example, Operator Material Handling Equipment requires Class X with Heavy Vehicle License and two years of crane operation experience.

The upper age limit is 35 years as on 18 July 2025. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable for OBC (3 years), SC/ST (5 years), PwBD (10 years + category), Ex-Apprentices (equal to training period), and Ex-servicemen (as per rules). The maximum permissible age after relaxations is capped at 55 years.

How to Apply:
Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply through the HVF official website from 28 June 2025 onwards. Applications are to be submitted in online mode only.

Application Fee:
The application fee is Rs. 300 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and Female candidates are exempt from the fee. Payment should be made through SBI Collect under PSU > Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited Tamil Nadu > HVF – Fixed Tenure Application Fee.

Selection Process:
Selection will be done on the basis of shortlisting and trade test. Preference will be given to HVF Ex-Trade Apprentices, followed by OFB apprentices, and then other NAC/NTC holders. Shortlisting will be based on marks in NAC/NTC. The trade test is qualifying in nature and will be held at HVF, Avadi.
