Civil Engineering clinches NIT Srinagar inter-department cricket title

Srinagar, Jun 10: The Civil Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, emerged victorious in the final of the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament 2026 held at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, defeating the Electrical Engineering Department by 60 runs in a thrilling title clash.

The final match, as per the NIT statement issued on Wednesday, was played between the Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering departments. After winning the toss, the Civil Engineering team elected to bat first and posted an imposing total of 210 runs in their allotted 15 overs.

The innings was anchored by a sensational knock from Adnan, who smashed 112 runs off just 42 balls. He was ably supported by Abu Bakar, who scored 35 runs in 20 balls, while Ahsan-ul-Haq contributed 32 runs off 22 deliveries to propel Civil Engineering to a commanding total.
