
SRINAGAR: The Army on Wednesday handed over a Pakistan-occupied Kashmir resident to police after completing medical examination and legal formalities.
Officials said the handover was carried out in accordance with due procedure. Further details regarding the circumstances of his detention and any possible charges were not immediately disclosed.
Police said investigations are currently underway.
The individual, identified as Javid Ali, son of Mohd Sharaz, a resident of Tetrinote Mohallah Jabri in PoK, was reportedly intercepted by the Army at Salotri village in Haveli tehsil on Monday evening.
