Youth Killed, Three Injured After SUV Plunges into Dal Lake in Srinagar | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: A road accident claimed the life of a youth while three others were injured after a vehicle skidded off the road and plunged into the Dal Lake along Srinagar’s Foreshore Road on Tuesday evening.

Reports said that an EcoSport vehicle bearing registration number JK01V-3260 hit a road divider on the Foreshore Road before falling into the lake.

In the incident, one youth died on the spot, while three others sustained injuries. The deceased was identified as Zameer Showkat, a resident of the Rainawari area of Srinagar, reports said.

The injured were immediately rescued and shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further investigation into the matter. (JKNS)
