Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse Held at Langate School Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

Langate, May 21: An awareness programme under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was organised at Mustafa Memorial Public School in Shano area of Langate, aimed at educating students and the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a drug-free society.

As part of the programme, students presented a dramatic performance depicting the devastating impact of substance abuse on individuals, families and society. The performance carried a strong social message and highlighted the need for collective efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs.

Participants and speakers during the event stressed the importance of creating awareness among the youth and promoting the vision of a “Drug-Free India.” They said educational institutions have a key role in guiding students towards a healthy and responsible future.

The programme was attended by former DDC Mawar, former BDC Langate, Zonal Education Officer Qalamabad, DO Langate, an Army officer and several prominent local citizens.

Speakers appreciated the efforts of the students and organisers, stating that protecting the younger generation from drug addiction has become an urgent societal responsibility.

Students also highlighted the need for active involvement of families, teachers, religious leaders and community members in combating drug abuse and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for the youth. (via. Bhat Danish)
