
SRINAGAR: A fire incident was reported at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hospital, Karan Nagar in Srinagar on Saturday evening, triggering the prompt evacuation of patients and a swift response from fire and emergency services.
Officials said the fire broke out on the fourth floor of the hospital at around 20:25 hours due to an electrical short circuit. They said patients admitted to the affected floor were immediately evacuated as a precautionary measure, while fire and emergency personnel rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control.
Authorities confirmed that the situation was quickly contained and no loss of life or major damage was reported in the incident. (JKNS)
