SRINAGAR: Paras Health Srinagar on Saturday marked the completion of three years of healthcare service in Kashmir, celebrating what the institution described as a journey built on compassion, resilience and trust with the people of the Valley.

Established as part of Paras Health’s expanding national healthcare network, the Srinagar facility has emerged over the past three years as a major healthcare destination in Kashmir, providing advanced treatment and specialised medical services closer to patients’ homes.

Paras Health, which began operations in Gurugram in 2006 as the region’s first corporate hospital, has since expanded to several cities, including Patna, Darbhanga, Panchkula, Ranchi, Udaipur, Kanpur and Srinagar.

Managing Director Dr. Dharminder Nagar said the strength of any healthcare institution lies in its people and their commitment to serving humanity.

“A hospital is never just a building or infrastructure. Its true strength lies in its people — the doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals who dedicate themselves to serving humanity every single day,” Dr. Nagar said.

He said the vision behind establishing Paras Health Srinagar was to ensure that quality healthcare becomes accessible within Kashmir itself so that patients are not compelled to travel outside the region for treatment.

“We are here because Paras Health wants to ensure impactful, accessible, and quality healthcare reaches the people of Kashmir closer to their homes. Patients should not have to move outside unnecessarily or bear additional emotional and financial burdens,” he said.

A commemorative event is scheduled to be held in Srinagar later in the evening to mark the occasion. The event is expected to highlight the healthcare group’s journey under Dr. Nagar’s leadership and its expansion into regions where quality healthcare infrastructure was limited.

Zonal Director Seema Vig acknowledged the contribution of doctors, nurses, healthcare workers and support staff in strengthening the institution’s reputation in the Valley.

Facility Director Dr. Muruza Habib expressed gratitude to the people of Kashmir for their trust in the institution and reiterated the hospital’s commitment towards strengthening healthcare services in the region.

The management said the celebration was not merely an anniversary event, but a tribute to patients, families and healthcare professionals associated with the institution over the past three years.

“Paras Health Srinagar is not simply a healthcare institution, but a growing relationship built on trust, dignity, compassion, and hope for a healthier Kashmir,” the management said.
