KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdown in Srinagar Areas | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited) has announced a planned shutdown of the 132/33 KV Bemina–Rawalpora Circuit-I and II on May 24, 2026, due to which several areas of Srinagar will face a temporary power outage.

According to Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown will be observed from 09:00 am to 03:30 pm for maintenance works on the transmission line.

Officials said the power supply to Gangbugh, Tengpora, Danderkhah, Moominabad, Batamaloo, Jawahar Nagar and Rajbagh will remain affected during the shutdown period.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in view of the scheduled interruption and said the shutdown is essential for maintenance and system upgrades.
