Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru has released the official notification inviting eligible Indian candidates for Apprentice Trainee positions for the financial year 2026-27. The recruitment is being conducted under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

A total of 150 vacancies are available for Graduate Engineering, Diploma Engineering, ITI and Graduate General Stream candidates. Interested applicants registered on NATS or NAPS portal can attend the walk-in interview scheduled on 6th June 2026 in Bengaluru.

Eligibility Criteria of GTRE Apprentice Vacancies

Graduate Engineering Apprentice	Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognised university or institution	Minimum 18 years as on 6th June 2026
Diploma Engineering Apprentice	Diploma in Engineering or Technology recognised by State Board or Central Government	Minimum 18 years as on 6th June 2026
ITI Apprentice	ITI pass with valid NCVT certificate in relevant trade	Minimum 18 years as on 6th June 2026
Graduate General Apprentice	Degree granted by recognised university or institution	Minimum 18 years as on 6th June 2026

Important Eligibility Conditions

Only Indian Nationals are eligible.
Candidates must be registered on NATS or NAPS portal.
Only candidates who passed qualifying examination in 2022 or later are eligible.
Candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible.
Candidates with one year or more job experience after qualification are not eligible.
Candidates who already completed apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Only regular mode candidates can apply.
Reservation will be applicable as per Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based on academic merit, written test, interview or a combination of these methods. Final selection will be subject to document verification.
