SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police and Jammu Kashmir Bank on Thursday signed a historic addendum to the 2023 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at enhancing welfare measures for families of martyrs, serving police personnel and Special Police Officers (SPOs).

DGP Nalin Prabhat and JK Bank MD and CEO Amitava Chatterjee during the signing of an addendum to the 2023 MoU between Jammu and Kashmir Police and JK Bank, aimed at strengthening welfare measures for martyrs’ families, serving personnel and SPOs, including enhanced insurance, medical and educational support.

According to officials, the revised agreement will provide enhanced insurance coverage along with improved medical and educational support for beneficiaries.

The addendum was signed by Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat and Managing Director and CEO of JK Bank Amitava Chatterjee in the presence of senior officers of JK Police and JK Bank.

Officials said the initiative reflects the commitment of both institutions towards the welfare and well-being of police personnel and their families.
