Well-known contractor Farooq Majnoon Mir elected president of Lolab contractors body

Kupwara, May 05: Well-known contractor Farooq Majnoon Mir was on Tuesday selected as president of the Contractors Association Lolab during a meeting held at the Range Office Sogam in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

A large number of contractors from the area attended the meeting and expressed confidence in Mir’s leadership, citing his experience and integrity as major factors behind his selection.

Participants highlighted several issues faced by contractors in the region, including delays in bill payments, concerns related to project estimations, and operational challenges in rural areas. They expressed hope that these issues would be addressed effectively under the new leadership.

Speaking on the occasion, members described Mir as a capable and dedicated individual, stating that his leadership is expected to strengthen collective efforts to resolve long-pending concerns.

After his selection, Mir thanked the members for reposing trust in him and said he would work with commitment to address the challenges faced by contractors. He emphasised the need for unity and coordinated efforts to safeguard the interests of the fraternity.

The meeting concluded with participants reiterating their commitment to cooperation and collective action.
