High Court Orders Reshuffle of Judicial Officers in Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Monday ordered a reshuffle of judicial officers across the Union Territories, effecting multiple transfers and postings in the interest of administrative efficiency.

According to Order No. 651 of 2026/RG dated May 4, issued by the Registrar General, several key changes have been made, including the transfer of Ms Renu Dogra, Principal Judge, Family Court Srinagar, as Presiding Officer of the Fast Track Court (POCSO) in Jammu. Mehreen Mushtaq has been posted as the new Principal Judge, Family Court Srinagar.

Sandeep Gandotra has been deputed as Presiding Officer of the Labour and Industrial Tribunal, JK, while Manoj Parihar has been shifted as One Man Forest Authority. In another major change, Ahsan Ullah Parvez Malik has been transferred from Principal District and Sessions Judge, Poonch, to Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bandipora, with corresponding adjustments involving Sushil Singh and Mir Wajahat.

At the magistracy level, Tabasum, Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, has been posted as Sub Judge in the High Court Wing, Srinagar, while Touseef Ahmad Magrey has been appointed as the new Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar.

The order also directed a swap of postings between Shri Shafeeq Ahmad and  Asma Chowdhary, while additional charge arrangements in the Juvenile Justice Boards were revised, assigning Shri Raja Arshad Hamid supervisory responsibility for Bandipora.

The High Court instructed that officers on deputation report to the Registrar Judicial until formal government orders are issued. It also mandated that all transferring officers complete pending judgments and properly hand over charge before assuming new assignments.
