ICAR-CITH Srinagar Young Professional Recruitment 2026: Walk-in-Interview On May 5

ICAR–Central Institute of Temperate Horticulture (CITH), Srinagar has released an official notification inviting eligible candidates to attend a walk-in-interview for Young Professional positions on a contractual basis.

Post Details and Qualification

1. Young Professional-II (01 Post)

Project Title: Artificial Intelligence Enabled Blackberry & Alpine Stress Detection and Advisory Mobile Application for Crops

Place of Posting: ICAR-CITH, Srinagar

Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture with Specialization in Fruit Science, Plant Pathology or Agricultural Entomology

Desirable Experience:

• Experience in disease diagnosis
• Knowledge of pest and deficiency symptoms
• Experience in temperate fruit crops
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning

Salary: ₹42,000 per month (Consolidated)

2. Young Professional-I (01 Post)

Project Title: Eco-based Disease, Pest Surveillance and Intelligent Management in Apple Orchards

Place of Posting: ICAR-CITH, Srinagar

Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture Sciences

Desirable Experience:

• Orchard management
• Fruit science related work
• Field data recording
• Data handling and analysis

Salary:

₹30,000 per month (Consolidated)

Selection Process

Selection will be based on merit calculated using the following criteria:

For Young Professional-II:

• 50 Marks – Post Graduation
• 05 Marks – PhD
• 10 Marks – Research Publications
• 10 Marks – Experience
• 05 Marks – Awards
• 20 Marks – Personal Interview

For Young Professional-I:

• 60 Marks – Essential Qualification
• 10 Marks – Post Graduation
• 10 Marks – Experience (02 Marks per completed year)
• 20 Marks – Personal Interview

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

Age relaxation will be provided as per Government of India / ICAR rules.

Important Instructions

• Candidates must bring original certificates for verification
• Self-attested copies of all certificates must be submitted
• Bring recent passport-size photographs
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending interview
• Engagement is purely contractual
• The appointment may be terminated at any time
• Candidates already employed must produce No Objection Certificate (NOC)
