
SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) on Sunday conducted the Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BE/BTech engineering courses for the academic session 2026–27 across the Union Territories of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
The examination was held at multiple centres in Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Doda, Rajouri, Jammu, and Leh, with 1,263 candidates appearing out of 1,538 registered applicants.
Authorities said elaborate arrangements were put in place in coordination with educational institutions and law enforcement agencies under the supervision of JKBOPEE Chairperson Prof Minu Mahajan to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.
Officials stated that no untoward or unfair incident was reported from any centre during the test.
For the second time, the board also established examination centres in districts including Baramulla, Anantnag, Doda, Rajouri, and Leh to facilitate candidates from remote areas by enabling them to appear within their respective districts.
The Chairperson, along with members, the Secretary, Controller of Examinations, and other officials, closely monitored the conduct of the examination across JK and Ladakh.
The JKBOPEE administration expressed gratitude to the staff of participating institutions and officials deployed under the supervision of Deputy Commissioners in the respective districts for ensuring the smooth conduct of the entrance test.
