Health Minister Visits SMHS, Reviews Condition of MP Er Rashid’s Ailing Father | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo on Sunday visited SMHS Hospital to inquire about the health condition of the ailing father of Member of Parliament Sheikh Abdul Rashid.

The Minister was accompanied by MLA Hazratbal Salman Sagar, Principal Government Medical College Srinagar Dr Iffat Hassan Shah, Medical Superintendent Dr Andleeb Bashir, Heads of Departments, consultants, and other senior doctors.

During the visit, Itoo interacted with the attending doctors and sought a detailed briefing on the condition of Khazir Mohammad Sheikh, including the treatment plan and progress of his recovery.

She directed the hospital administration to ensure the best possible medical care, stressing that all required facilities and specialised treatment must be provided without delay. The Minister also instructed the medical team to maintain constant supervision and deliver comprehensive care through experienced specialists.

Itoo later met the patient’s family members, expressed concern over his condition, and assured them of full support from the Health Department. She also appreciated the efforts of the healthcare staff and prayed for the patient’s speedy recovery.
