KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Multiple Areas of Kashmir | Kashmir Life

SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has informed that planned shutdowns will be carried out on several 33 kV transmission lines, affecting power supply in multiple areas of Kashmir on different dates in April 2026.

According to the statement, shutdown of the 33 kV Bemina–Fatehkadal and 33 kV Bemina–Barbarshah lines will be observed due to which power supply to KK Moulla, Nowpora, Bohri Kadal, BB Shah, Badademb, Bishembarnagar, Gousia Hospital, Naisadak, Barbarshah, Exchange, Basant Bagh, Car Parking, Maisuma Bazar and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 3 pm on April 22, 27 and 30.

Similarly, shutdown of the 33 kV Beerwah–Arizal Tapline will result in power disruption in Arizal, Zanigam, Reyar, Doodhpathry and adjoining areas from 10 am to 4 pm on April 21 and 23.

Likewise, the 33 kV Baghimehtab line shutdown will affect supply to Baghimehtab, Kralpora, Mochwa, Gopalpora, Kantabagh and adjoining areas from 10 am to 4 pm on April 20 and 23.

In addition, shutdown of the 33 kV Surfraw feeder will impact power supply to Gund, Gadribal, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan and adjoining areas from 8:30 am to 4 pm on April 20.
