SRINAGAR: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on Thursday distributed appointment letters to 313 newly recruited district-cadre employees at a Rozgar Mela.

Vinay Kumar Saxena appointed as LG Ladakh on March 5, 2026

This was the second such event in three days, following a similar programme in Kargil on April 14 where around 200 candidates received job letters.

The recruits were selected through exams conducted by the Leh Autonomous Hill Development Subordinate Services Recruitment Board for matriculation and 10+2 level posts. Out of 387 selected candidates, 313 were given appointment letters, mostly in departments like health, revenue, public health engineering, forest and animal husbandry.

Congratulating the recruits, Saxena said the process was transparent and merit-based. He urged them to work with dedication and highlighted that government jobs are a responsibility towards society.

He also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to filling all vacant posts in a timely and transparent manner. (KINS)
