POCSO accused absconding for 7 years arrested in Jammu: Police

Jammu, Mar 31: Police apprehended an accused who was wanted in a POCSO case and was absconding from last seven years.

The accused has been identified by Police as Sunil Bhagat of Juddi, Doda, presently residing at Bari Brahmana.

Police said that accused was wanted in FIR No 123/2019 and the case is registered under Sections 376, 109, and 363 of IPC and Sections 3/4 of the POCSO Act at Police Station Janipur.

The accused had been evading arrest for a considerable period.

Acting on specific inputs and sustained efforts, Police said it located and arrested him.
