Congress reviews organisational structure, stresses booth-level strengthening in Kupwara

Kupwara: The District Congress Committee Kupwara on Monday held a meeting under the chairmanship of District President Haji Farooq Ahmed Mir to review organisational preparedness and strengthen the party at the grassroots level.

The meeting, which lasted nearly five hours, focused on reinforcing the party network across block, halqa and booth levels. Detailed deliberations were held on improving coordination, expanding outreach, and ensuring effective functioning of local units.

Senior leaders present included Javid Mir, G.M. Wani, S. Baldev Singh, Jahangir Danish, Tahir Ji, Mehila District President, Saifullah Khan, Bashir Ahmad Mir Rawatpori, Gh. Hassan Dar, Murtaza Maqbool Wani, Azad Ahmad Dar, Habibullah Sofi, Ab Rashid Dar, Bashir Ahmad Radbuk and Bashir Ahmad Bhat, along with block presidents and other senior functionaries.

Participants stressed the need to activate booth-level cadres and enhance worker engagement to consolidate the party base in the district. Emphasis was laid on strengthening internal coordination and ensuring accountability within organisational ranks.

The leadership also reiterated a strict stance on discipline, stating that any instance of indiscipline would invite action.

The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to strengthen the party’s presence across Kupwara through sustained grassroots engagement and organisational cohesion.
