LG Sinha urges purpose-driven entrepreneurship at ‘Big Impact Awards J&K 2026’

Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said Jammu and Kashmir’s entrepreneurs are playing a pivotal role in driving economic transformation by turning challenges into opportunities, as he addressed the ‘Big Impact Awards J&K 2026’ organised by 92.7 Big FM in Jammu.

He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ushering in reforms that have enabled India to transition from a consumption-driven economy to a creator-led innovation ecosystem, adding that the country is steadily emerging as a global innovation powerhouse.

Sinha observed that the ongoing changes in the industrial and business landscape are a direct outcome of policy reforms and the determination of entrepreneurs. He commended J&K’s business community for expanding production and diversifying markets despite constraints, including limited access to raw materials.

Stressing the importance of perseverance, the Lieutenant Governor said innovation is a continuous process built on sustained effort and resilience. He also lauded entrepreneurs who have contributed to society by setting examples of growth amid adversity.

Referring to the education sector, Sinha said reforms following the National Education Policy and the COVID-19 pandemic have accelerated digital transformation, with stakeholders developing online platforms, training teachers, and extending virtual learning to remote areas. He noted that these changes are laying the foundation for a knowledge-based economy.

Calling for collective efforts, he urged entrepreneurs and citizens to strengthen key sectors and contribute actively to nation-building in an era of rapid technological change.

The Lieutenant Governor felicitated awardees on the occasion and recommended the inclusion of the farming community in future editions of the awards. He also called upon the organisers to promote awareness initiatives under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

The event witnessed the presence of officials, representatives of 92.7 Big FM, and prominent citizens from various sectors.
