
SRINAGAR: Vehicular movement on Bandipora–Gurez road has been suspended as a precautionary measure following fresh snowfall in the higher reaches of Bandipora district, including Gurez and Tulail.
The suspension comes amid ongoing weather activity, with snow continuing to accumulate in upper areas, raising concerns over road safety and slippery conditions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread light to moderate rain and snowfall across Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad from March 28 to 31, with isolated heavy snowfall likely over the Kashmir Valley on March 30.
Meanwhile, weather data from the previous day showed Kathua recording the highest maximum temperature at 30.4°C, while Gulmarg remained the coolest with a maximum of 13.0°C and a minimum of 3.5°C. Pahalgam registered the lowest minimum temperature at 2.8°C.
