GMC Handwara Recruitment 2026 For Senior Residents, Registrars And Demonstrators, Apply Before Last Date

The Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara has released an official advertisement inviting applications for the engagement of Senior Residents, Registrars, and Demonstrators in the Department of General Medicine. These positions will be filled purely on an Academic Arrangement basis under S.O. 364 of 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• MBBS Degree with State/NMC Registration Certificate
• MD/MS/DNB Degree in the relevant discipline
• Higher qualifications such as DM/MCh/DNB Super Speciality will be preferred

Age Limit:

Maximum age limit is 45 years as on the cut-off date of submission of application.

Required Documents

Candidates must attach self-attested copies of the following documents:

1. MBBS Degree Certificate
2. MD/MS/DNB Degree Certificate
3. NMC/State Medical Council Registration Certificate
4. Marks certificates of MBBS and higher qualification
5. Date of Birth Certificate
6. Domicile Certificate
7. Affidavit stating the candidate is not on rolls of any other institution
8. Service certificate (for in-service candidates)
9. No Objection Certificate (NOC), if applicable
10. Any additional qualification certificate

Selection Process

Selection of candidates will be made strictly according to the selection criteria and eligibility guidelines issued by the Government of Jammu & Kashmir under relevant government orders.

A waiting list of selected candidates will remain valid for a period of six months from the date of issuance of the selection list.
