
Srinagar, Mar 17: The Jammu & Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) accorded a welcome to Ashwani Kumar on his first arrival at the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, following his recent assumption of charge as Additional Chief Secretary, Power Development Department (PDD).
The reception was attended by members of the Executive Council of JKEEGA, along with senior officers of the department including Chief Engineers, Superintending Engineers, and Executive Engineers, said a press release.
On the occasion, JKEEGA President Er Pirzada Hidaytullah, extended its best wishes to Ashwani Kumar and expressed hope that under his leadership the Power Department will witness meaningful reforms and progressive policy measures. The association also voiced optimism that the new ACS will work in close coordination with the power engineers, appreciate their sustained efforts in strengthening the power sector, and take time-bound steps to address the long-pending HR issues of the engineering fraternity. JKEEGA reaffirmed its full support and cooperation in all reform-oriented initiatives aimed at strengthening the Power Development Department and improving power infrastructure across Jammu & Kashmir.
