
SRINAGAR: LG Manoj Sinha on Monday warned that any individual or group attempting to disturb peace, law and order, or endanger civilians in Jammu and Kashmir will face strict action, asserting that such acts will be met with the “full force of the law”.
Addressing the passing-out parade of constables at the STC Talwara in Reasi, the Lieutenant Governor said attempts to disrupt public order, undermine economic activity or incite violence would not be tolerated under any circumstances.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to maintaining stability, stating that the force would take all necessary measures against elements seeking to derail peace.
Congratulating the 430 trainee constables who completed their training, Sinha urged them to safeguard the Union Territory’s progress and uphold public trust through integrity, impartiality and empathy.
He said the police force has played a key role in strengthening security, governance and social harmony, and called for continued efforts to counter elements attempting to divide society.
Reiterating a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism, the Lieutenant Governor said a multi-pronged strategy is being pursued in coordination with various agencies to make Jammu and Kashmir terror-free.
During the समारोह, trophies were awarded to outstanding trainees, including Johnny Victor (all-round best), Vishal Bharat (second), and Yogesh Sharma (third), among others. Senior officials, including Nalin Prabhat, Director General of Police, were present on the occasion.
