Higher reaches and tourist destinations including Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Doodhpathri and Pahalgam may receive fresh snowfall on March 19, the forecast said.

The advisory indicated that detailed updates regarding the intensity and impact of the weather system will be issued subsequently.

Meanwhile, authorities and residents have been advised to remain alert as changing weather conditions could affect normal life, particularly in higher altitude areas.
