Kupwara, Mar 15: Workers of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, block Sogam, held a meeting on Sunday, where they strongly condemned the recent attempted attack on party president Farooq Abdullah.
The meeting was chaired by Lolab MLA Qaysar Jamshaid Lone and was attended by a large number of party workers from different areas of the constituency.
During the meeting, the participants described the alleged attack on Dr. Abdullah as an unfortunate and undemocratic act. They said such incidents are aimed at weakening the party but asserted that such attempts would never succeed as the party continues to receive strong public support.
The workers also discussed various public issues and organisational matters, stressing the need to further strengthen the party at the grassroots level and maintain unity among the cadre.
Addressing the gathering, Lone said the party leadership is working on new proposals to address key public concerns, including development, unemployment and other socio-economic issues. He added that these proposals would soon be placed before the people.
He also urged the public to remain patient and confident, stating that the party is committed to fulfilling the expectations of the people and accelerating the pace of development in the Lolab constituency.
The workers present at the meeting expressed full confidence in the party leadership and pledged to work collectively to further strengthen the organisation.
