Northern Commander, DGP deliberate on ‘Mission Ready’ posture across J&K

Jammu, Mar 13: General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) Northern Command, Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma along with the Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Friday deliberated on synergising the anti-terror roadmap to ensure “Mission Ready” posture across Jammu and Kashmir.

Joined by senior officers of Army, Police and other stakeholders, they, during the weekly coordination meeting chaired by Lt Gen Sharma, also focussed on real-time intelligence fusion to achieve seamless integration for a swift response.

“Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command chaired the weekly coordination meeting of all stakeholders at Jammu. The deliberations focused on real-time intelligence fusion and achieving seamless integration with a view to ensure swift response and a Mission Ready posture across Jammu and Kashmir,” the Northern Command posted on ‘X’ with a tagline “Together for peace, committed to safety.”

“The agencies synergised the anti-terror roadmap and reaffirmed the resolve to zero tolerance for terror,” it posted.

Earlier, during the day, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma visited Basantgarh to review the prevailing security situation and ongoing Counter Terrorist Operations.

“The Army Commander was briefed on the coordinated intelligence grid and enhanced security measures in the region.  Focused deliberations were held on reinforcing the security architecture in coordination with all stakeholders,” Northern Command posted.

The Army Commander at Basantgarh also interacted with the troops and commended them for their professionalism, commitment and steadfast resolve towards ensuring a terror-free Jammu and Kashmir.
