Bhaderwah, Mar 13: A tragic road accident near Basti Pul in the Nalthi area of Bhaderwah on Friday claimed the lives of a Jammu and Kashmir Police head constable and his wife, while their two sons were injured.
Officials said an Alto car lost control near Basti village and rolled down into a river, resulting in the death of Head Constable Zulfikar Ali of J&K Police and his wife Rehana Begum on the spot.
Their two sons, Arshad (24) and Kamran (20), residents of Bani, sustained injuries in the accident and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Sources said the head constable was on his way to duty when the accident occurred. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigation is underway.
