Attack on Dr Farooq matter of deep investigation: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar, Mar 12: Apni Party President Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari while condemning the attack on NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah has stated that “it needs to be ascertained whether the attacker was in an inebriated condition or if the matter was more serious”. Bukhari posted on his X handle that he was “glad to know that Dr Farooq has escaped unharmed in the firing incident in Jammu.” “Glad to know that Farooq Abdullah Sahib escaped unharmed in the firing incident in Jammu,” said the Apni Party chief within hours of the assassination bid on Dr Farooq.

“The assailant has been arrested, but the matter must be thoroughly investigated to determine whether it was just a drunken act by the attacker or something more serious,” the post written by Bukhari further said.
