Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has extended the last date for submission of applications for temporary positions under the National Soil Mapping Programme (NSMP) project. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts of Young Professional I and Young Professional II.

These positions are purely temporary and contractual under the project being conducted in the Division of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, SKUAST-Jammu. Eligibility Criteria for SKUAST Jammu Young Professional Recruitment 2026

Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and experience requirements.

Young Professional II	Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geospatial Applications or similar field	Minimum 3 years experience in Remote Sensing and GIS applications (other than degree programmes), knowledge of R software, Machine Learning models, and geospatial data handling
Young Professional I	Master’s degree in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geoinformatics / Geospatial Applications or similar field	Experience in handling and applications of remote sensing and GIS software/data
