
SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday reiterated his government’s commitment to promoting the empowerment, safety and dignity of women while ensuring equal opportunities for them in all walks of life.
Extending greetings on International Women’s Day, the Chief Minister praised the strength, resilience and contributions of women in shaping families, communities and society.
In a message shared by the Chief Minister’s Office on social media, Abdullah acknowledged the vital role women play in social, economic and community spheres.
He also reaffirmed that the government will continue efforts to create an environment where women have equal opportunities and where their dignity and safety are safeguarded.
International Women’s Day is observed worldwide on March 8 to celebrate the achievements of women and to promote gender equality across social, economic and political domains.
