
SRINAGAR: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday inaugurated a newly constructed block at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu to enhance office infrastructure and improve working facilities for government employees.
Officials said the new block will significantly expand the available workspace at the Secretariat, which is expected to improve administrative efficiency and streamline the functioning of various departments.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary, Advisor to the Chief Minister Nasir Aslam Wani and MLA Bani Rameshwar Singh.
Senior officials present on the occasion included Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, Additional Chief Secretary Estates Shaleen Kabra, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Dheeraj Gupta and Director Estates Jammu Ashwani Khajuria, along with other concerned officers.
According to officials, the additional block has been constructed to accommodate the growing administrative requirements at the Secretariat and to provide better facilities for government staff. They said the new infrastructure will help in improving coordination among departments and enhance overall governance.
