Eligibility Criteria of CSIR IICB MTS Vacancies

Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Intermediate (Class 12) pass is desirable.

Age Limit
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 25 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per CSIR and Government of India rules for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen categories.

Application Fee

Candidates have to pay the application fee through the SBI Collect portal. The fee once paid is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of a single stage examination.

Written Examination
Candidates will appear for an objective type written examination conducted in Computer Based or OMR mode.

Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the written examination will be called for document verification.

Tie-Breaker Rule
If two candidates obtain the same marks, the merit will be decided by lesser negative marks, older candidate, earlier qualification date, and then alphabetical order of first names.

Total Questions: 150
Total Time: 2 Hours
Marking Scheme: +3 for correct answer and −1 for wrong answer
Exam Standard: Class X level

Salary

Selected candidates will receive salary under Pay Level-1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

Pay Scale: Rs. 18,000 – Rs. 56,900

The post also includes allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and Transport Allowance as applicable to Central Government employees. The post is covered under the New Pension System.
