Islamic University of Science & Technology, Awantipora, Kashmir has invited online applications for engagement of Contractual Assistant Professors on academic arrangement. The engagement is for teaching, research and allied academic activities in various departments.

Eligibility Criteria of IUST Assistant Professor Vacancies

Department	Educational Qualification
Computer Science & Engineering	B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. or Integrated M.Tech in relevant branch with first class in any one degree and Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 or from recognized foreign/top 500 ranked university.
Civil Engineering	As per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 with required Engineering qualifications and Ph.D in relevant discipline.
Mechanical Engineering	As per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 with required Engineering qualifications and Ph.D in relevant discipline.
Electronics & Communication Engineering	As per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 with required Engineering qualifications and Ph.D in relevant discipline.
Artificial Intelligence	Master’s degree with 55% in relevant subject or Engineering degree with first class and Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 or recognized foreign/top 500 ranked university.
Computer Science	Master’s degree with 55% in Computer Science/IT/Computer Applications and Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 or recognized foreign/top 500 ranked university.
Architecture (Structural Engineering)	B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering and M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering with first class and Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 or recognized foreign/top 500 ranked university. Registration with Council of Architecture required.
Management Studies	Master’s degree with 55% in concerned subject and Ph.D as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 or recognized foreign/top 500 ranked university.

Application Fee

Non-refundable application fee of Rs 500/- is to be paid online through debit card, credit card or net banking.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates must apply online through the University website www.iust.ac.in.

After submitting the online application and paying the fee, candidates must submit the hard copy of the application form along with self-attested copies of documents and certificates in the offices of respective Heads of the Departments/Centers on any working day by or before the last date.

Candidature of those who fail to submit the hard copy shall not be considered.

Selection Procedure

Shortlisting shall be done as per the annexed criteria. Twenty candidates shall be shortlisted for one post and five candidates for every additional post.

Final selection shall be made strictly as per UGC Regulations 2018 (Interview only). The panel recommended by the selection committee shall remain valid for one year.
