Final seniority list of PG Masters/ PG Teachers in the discipline of Functional English as on 01.01.2026

WHEREAS, the tentative seniority list of PG Masters/ PG Teachers in the discipline of Functional English was issued vide Notice dated 02.05.2024 for inviting objections, if any, from the members of the service;

AND WHEREAS, after the issuance of the tentative seniority list, the Department received some objections/representations from the cadre members/Directorates for correction/inclusion/up-dation of service particulars in the seniority list;

AND WHEREAS, the objections received by the Department have been examined/scrutinized and necessary corrections/additions/deletions, wherever required, have been made in the seniority list;

AND WHEREAS, some of the incumbents, who have obtained their PG degrees through regular/distance/private mode during service and whose cases have not yet been recommended by the Designated Committees constituted vide Government Order No. 188-JK (Edu) of 2024 dated 15.03.2024, have also been incorporated in the seniority list, with the condition that their inclusion in seniority is subject to the condition that proper permission has been granted by the Competent Authority for acquiring the PG degree during service. Their names shall be deemed to have been deleted from the seniority list, ab-initio, in case the recommendation/directions are not received in the time frame decided in the said Government Order.

Now, therefore, in terms of Rule 24 of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, final seniority list of PG Masters/Teachers in the discipline of Functional English, forming “Annexure A” to this Government Order, is hereby issued. The dates of birth of the incumbents recorded in the seniority list shall not be taken as authentic and shall be subject to further verification from service records/original Matriculation Certificates. The places of posting mentioned against the incumbents in the Seniority list shall also not be taken as authentic which may have changed over a period of time in respect of any/some member(s) during the process of updation of this Seniority List.

The seniority list so issued will be subject to outcome of writ petition(s) pending, if any, before any Competent court of law.

Any member of the service who is either not included or is aggrieved with the position assigned to him/her in this final seniority list can file a review petition within 07 days from the date of issuance of this updated final seniority list along with supporting documents, through concerned Directorates, which shall be decided on case-to-case basis. No petition shall be entertained after the expiry of stipulated time period.
