Schools, colleges to remain closed in Kashmir for 2 days: Education minister

Srinagar, Mar 01: The minister for education, Sakina Itoo, on Sunday said that all the schools and colleges will remain closed for next two days in Kashmir.

The decision, she said has been taken in view of the prevailing situation in Kashmir. “We have decided to keep the schools and colleges closed for two days,” she told Greater Kashmir.

The elementary level schools were scheduled to reopen on March 2, 2026 after over two month-long winter vacations.
