Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Aglar, District Shopian (J&K-UT) has issued a walk-in-interview notification for engagement of teaching and non-teaching staff on contract basis for the academic session 2025–26.

Eligible candidates are invited for the posts of PGT Physics, TGT English, Hostel Superintendent (Female), and Matron (Female). The engagement is purely temporary and will remain valid up to 25.05.2026 or till the joining of regular incumbent, whichever is earlier.

Eligibility Criteria of JNV Aglar Vacancies

Post Name	Educational Qualification	Age Limit
PGT Physics	PG in Physics with at least 50% marks, Physics as a subject in Graduation, B.Ed	Not exceeding 50 years
TGT English	English as a subject in all semesters/years of Graduation, B.Ed, Qualified CTET (Paper II)	Not exceeding 50 years
Hostel Superintendent (Female)	Graduation in any discipline. Desirable: Master’s Degree or B.Ed. Proficiency in regional language to be verified during interview	Minimum 35 years and maximum 62 years (as on 01-05-2025)
Matron (Female)	Minimum Class X passed. Higher education preferred	35 to 55 years

Additional conditions:
For Hostel Superintendent, minimum 5 years experience in pay level 5 or above of 7th CPC in a recognized residential school, or 7 years experience on consolidated pay not less than Rs. 29200 per month. Ex-defence personnel with required experience are also eligible.

For Matron post, only married females including widows or divorcees without encumbrances are eligible. The selected candidate must reside in the girls’ dormitory.

Applications must be submitted personally in the prescribed format obtained from the Vidyalaya office during working hours from 23.02.2026 to 24.02.2026.

Candidates must report for the interview on 26.02.2026 at 11:00 AM with original documents and one set of self-attested copies for verification.
